Contact a Lender Using your valuable time to search the internet for homes and visiting open houses is useful because it gives you a general idea of what types of homes are for sale but does nothing to help you buy your own home. We do however advise that buyers call several lenders because shopping for a loan is like buying a car…you need to get the best deal. Just make sure you ask the lenders questions so you can understand what’s going on. This is a very important step and you need to be fully informed. Any lender who won’t take the time to help you is not someone you should be working with.
